Peter Alexander created and Universal patented in his name the world's first IMAX ride simulator. The film was directed and produced by legendary Special Effects man Douglas Trumbull, and Executive Produced by StevenSpielberg and Robert Zemeckis.
In 1990, Peter's King Kong Kongfrontation ride at Universal Florida featured a 37 foot tall audio-animatronic Kong and the Roosevelt Island Tramway vehicle, the world's first travelling motion base. This groundbreaking ride vehicle rocked and rolled guests in sync with the storyline, long before Disney's Enhanced Motion Simulator of 1995 or the KUKA simulators of Harry Potter.
Working hand in hand with his lifelong friend Steven Spielberg, Peter supervised design and production of the heartwarming "E.T. Adventure" Ride, which pleases guests to this day!
When Warner Brothers purchased Six Flags they found that the business model was basically unsound. They chain relied solely on new roller coasters to maintain the attendance. The problem was that the coasters cost more than the revenue they added. Six Flags President Bob Pittman turned to Peter Alexander, who developed shows like the Batman Stunt Show and the Lethal Weapon Stunt show that produced more revenue for a fraction of the cost, and built a whole new family audience.
